i dont see any kind of path to a title with geriatric paul george, nor even a dominant regular season. he'll probably play in 50ish games (so will joel). will they have their shtein together by april and both be healthy? that is the question (the answer is no).

They have Jo for 3-4 more seasons, they needed a wing they got one of the best and he only cost salary. Theyre better off today than they were when the season ended. At worse you're getting entertaining competitive team with future draft capital. Not a horrible situation.

Honestly Morey gets an A this offseason.  Joel will definitely get hurt again so in the end it doesn't matter but not sure he could have done better with what he had to work with. 

They also have KJ Martin's bird rights, meaning they can essentially pay him whatever to go over the cap to match salaries in a trade.  Like they could give him a max contract right now and trade for Markanen or whoever.  Obviously no one wants KJ Martin on a max contract lol but I bet he gets mad overpaid to trade with some picks for a 15-20M dollar guy. 

I'm such a loser for loving Vegas summer league so much I can't wait.  Does anyone know where to bet on summer league futures I'm really trying to throw down on Ricky 4 being Vegas MVP.

Source confirms Sixers are signing KJ Martin to a 2 year contract extension for $16 million. He is young and athletic and could be a power forward. And he could be a possible trade chip.

Not been impressed with McCain so far.  Obviously it's only summer league and he'll get much better shot selection with real players versus scrubs, but just feels so slow out there.  He does have that Brunson slowdown get the guy on your hip and foul move, which is nice, but just can't finish around the rim yet.  I'd love to see him have a 25-30 point night one of these games.
