counsell gave them that game...for some reason he decided to not use his 2 best relievers and tried to get 9 outs with the equivalent of bailey falter

hes made the plays in front of him since the 3 error game, which is all you can ask. the chopper hit to him in the 1st with the bases loaded and 2 outs...he made this super awkward lunge at it that i thought for sure hed boot, but right into his glove.

my hope here is that stott/camargo develop into a platoon and they wind up moving on from didi. he does nothing for them.

i think with the counsell it was simple load management, which is just asinine to do it to your 2 best relievers and in a 1 run game.

this is abel's first real good start of the year. painter has 3 starts, 12 IP, 0 ER, 3 BB and 30 K. its low A. but they augmented their draft strategy the last few years to take bigger swings instead of settling for a nola or a moniak. we may have something here.
