Look at the phillies manufacturing a run. It's the 1986 Cardinals all over again!

No.

Since the 1986 Cardinals finished about eleventy billion games behind the Mets that year in 3rd place and below .500, I hope to God it's not the 1986 Cardinals.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too because the Phillies finished 2nd in the division that year and they were still a good 20+ games back in the standings.

Phils had the bases loaded with 0 outs.  They scored 0 runs.

that was vince coleman not willie mcgee

Willie McGee was on that team as well I believe.

PhillyPhreak54

I swear to christ this team is allergic to hitting with RISP.

Bases loaded 0 outs and they get nothing...AGAIN.

Earlier they got one lousy sac fly.

Howard does look like shtein. When he K'd he swung and missed and on the replay you could see about a foot of air between his bat and where the ball was.

This team is going to cause me to murder something.

SD_Eagle5

This team is really farging annoying. Game should be over.

Willie McGee stole 56 bases in 1985.  That was one of his best years, actually.  He was the NL MVP that year.

trust me it was vince coleman who stole a ton of bases and almost literally bunted everytime up

No one's saying he didn't, IGY.

Farg it, I'll say he didn't.  Just so it gives us something to talk about besides the farging Phillies.

If you look at Coleman's lifetime stats, two things jump out at you:

First, his first three seasons he stole 100+ bases each year.

Second, considering how farging fast he was, the percentage of extra-base hits he had was miniscule.  He had 170 hits his first season and only 31 of them were for extra bases.
