We got back from another Vegas trip a week ago and it was the best one yet. Why? Because I actually won this time. Roulette, Craps, Blackjack and slots...whatever I played I won for the most part.

I popped my blackjack cherry at Tropicana. I went early in the morning and caught a $5 table with a cool dealer and my strategy card. I won $50.

Since my chick has to go back to Peru in a month (visa expiring, have to get a new one) we're gonna do one more trip.

I'm booking the thing tonight. I have another offer from NYNY for comped rooms so I'll hit that up. Unless the Aria offer is better, gotta call 'em first.

I'm sure I've asked this before but why would anyone voluntarily go to Las Vegas at any time of the year other than winter?

It's like 1300 degrees there in the summer.  Ugh...

But it really is a different type of heat out there. I walked down the strip in late August in the afternoon hours and it was 103 degrees and I didn't sweat even a little bit. It's absolutely zero humidity and I spent a few hours in the pool each day.

That sucks Phreak, my neighbor is peruvian, and his parents finally got their 10 year visas after 3 years of trying.

Todd - its not too hot there yet. It was in the 80's last week, but the humidity is nothing compared to here.

I will walk or take the bus rather than spend $13 bucks on a cab from Mirage to NYNY

If you take the bus from the Mirage to NYNY, you are the laziest mutha ever.  Added bonus that they're on the same side of the street!

By the way it's clear that Phreak is developing a nice gambling problem.  He fits right in here on after all.

We walk it most of the time. But when I'm shteinfaced drunk I prefer to get there by vehicle, so we'll cab or bus it.

And that walk ain't a quick one. Busing it to Caesars or Bellagio from Mirage equals laziest ever. To NYNY is ok.

shtein, the last time we walked from NYNY to Mirage to Strat and back to Mirage. My girls feet about exploded. She learned about wearing good shoes.
