Rome

South Bay LA is pretty much the ideal spot on the planet for me.  Hermosa and Manhattan Beaches are lunacy level expensive but I would move back here in a minute.  My daughter loves it here too.  Fingers crossed...

what is everyones thoughts on reclining their seat during a flight? i got into it with the guy in front of me on the flight back from london...IMO its a massively selfish move that prioritizes your comfort over mine which i am not doing to the person behind me.

did 4 days in paris first. cant go wrong falling ass backwards into a great meal anywhere you go. did a day trip up to normandy to see utah/omaha beach and some other WW2 shtein. fascinating. city is marvelous. the louve is a cancer on society. trained to london to see my soccer team (they lost), but had another great night at the seven stars (tremendous pub). met some friends who insisted on going to passyunk ave. its a cool spot if youre living there. the cheesesteak was meh -- meat was near perfect but the bread was store brand levels.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I mean, the chair only goes so far back.  If the person in front of me wants a couple extra degrees..I'm not getting my back up over it.

I'm on a gdamn plane.  No matter what, it's a horrible experience.

I got really good at just sleeping through flights. Alternatively, give me the emergency exit row seat.

Generally I am okay with it as long as they go back slowly..and understand when I get up they can't shoot dirty looks for jostling the back of their chair if I am getting up. Also they need to raise them upright during meal service.

Rome

I'm in first class or not at all so you peasants can argue about this while I eat my Oysters Rockefeller and drink my Krug Grande Cuvée Brut.

Being a bigger guy, I hate it when people lean back in their seats.  My knees are already in the seat.

Diomedes

That's my experience as well, and I'm (not quite) 6'2".  You 6'4", 6'6" mfers need to just get some business class seats somehow ...

I had an ordeal getting my passport photos back from Walgreen's last week.  I am doing the online renewal which requires a digital photo of exacting standards.  After three fargups on their part, I finally got the correct photo loaded onto the portal.  It says 4-6 weeks for delivery.  I submitted it on Sunday.  Got an e-mail this afternoon that it will be delivered on Monday of next week.

Anyway, I'm going to Ireland in July.  Then to Portugal/Spain in late September.  I just hope folks in those places will still accept Americans by then.

Just buy the Canadian flag backpack like the smart tourists.

Where in Portugal? Went last summer. Spent 4 days in Albufeira, then drove up to Lisbon for 4 days. Amazing country

I once had a boss told me that he needed to go to Lisbon, Portugal.

Motherfarger, I know where Lisbon is.

West coast.  Lisbon then north to Nazare.  It's the wrong time of year for surf but the coast is incredibly beautiful.  I also want to visit Gibraltar.

Spain will be Madrid to start.   Still formulating a plan.
