the bears are about to get a top 5 pick, new qb, decent haul for fields and hire a brand new coach. not a bad place to be if you didnt have stomach through this dreadful season.

rams, falcons, bucs, wash, jets, steelers, raiders, broncos are all gonna be looking for long term solutions, if not more teams, at qb and theres only so many that can get a top 5 pick.

The Bears are in this position roughly every four years. It is not a good place to be. Poles will still be there next year, but more worryingly so will whatever longterm institutional rot that keeps leading to the hiring of these losers.

When they leave that bastichized, undead version of Solider Field and move to Arlington Heights, maybe that will inject some life into the franchise. Or maybe it will require a McCaskey younger than 65 taking the reins.

Trey Lance, who probably isn't any worse than Fields, went for a 4th round pick before this season kicked off. I think that would be the ceiling on Fields' trade value, and that's if they do it like within a few weeks.
