I know how you feel Phreak. Kurt Warner was my no. 1 pick. Now he's unclaimed, floating around in fantasy football nowereland. I had to trade away some good players to get a starting qb, and got lucky claiming Leftwitch.

If McNabb turns it around, which I think is bound to happen one of these weeks, you could end up on the top end of that trade.

Hell, it's all a crap shoot anywayz.

First of all there IS a voting period, but you have to pay attention and visit the site.  Also when you signed in if you allowed the league/site to send you messages via email, then you should have been notified that a trade was pending.

I opted to get e-mails...and I don't get notifications of pending trades; also, I think there's a good chance that it was pushed through early.

And before you get carried away, it's an observation not an indictment.

In my opinion, it was a pretty one-sided deal...as are most deals that leverage acutual production vs. the ever-elusive potential.  It would have looked a lot less suspect before the season started, but things being as they are, that's my thought.

I have Bulger AND Brooks, and would have been willing to give up either plus Burress for Williams.

That being said, I now am putting either one on the block for a good RB. Pay attention you guys with Warner, McNabb, Buerlien, Plummer, and any QB ending in "ington".

A package deal is not out of the question for a stud.

BTW, i didn't say that trade was colusion, or should be vetoed, I just didn't think it was a good one for WS. jmo
The NFL old standard.

MURP

ill give you Duckett for either QB.   :D

RomeyRome

I have seen a couple trades go through that I didn't know about until after and didn't get a chance to veto.  No need to trip,  You move on.

Boston for Coles --  Phreak obviously wins that.

He was desperate for depth so he got E.George and McNabb for Williams who has STRUGGLED fantasy wise for about 3-4 weeks straight.  Boston has had ONE good week.

This trade is not as one sided as you think.  I understand the trading of proven talent vs. potential as you say, but considering how R.Williams has been shut down for 3-4 weeks straight now and Boston has only had one week worth a shtein, I don't get where you are getting this one-sided stuff.

RomeyRome

For example, this weekend the amazing unfair :'( combo of Boston and Williams got me a total of 10  points as my fantasy team scored me thee lowest total I have ever seen let alone scored myself of 28.50  I didn't even know that was possible. :boom

Boston hasn't done shtein.  Williams hasn't done shtein in a while, Lamar Gordon is hurt, my team is in shambles right now.

So quit your crying and start laughing at my sorry azz team. ;D ;)

Not much worse than scoring second highest in the league and still dropping one.  Oh, well...at least I picked up games in my other two leagues.

LOL....and Jake Delhomme was a last second switch on Saturday...and one of my WRs got me no points.  :o

6-1 in CFFFL, 5-1 in my other league.

Sweet.

Better to be lucky than good.  Just ask the Eagles.

That's not exactly fair, Zanshin.

in my other league, I am lucky...that's an autodraft (although I won with my chosen defensive players this week...MURP ;) )

I had to do some good research to see who could have a better game of the QBs available. Delhomme was playing against the Titans without Samari Rolle. He was going to pass...I didn't just throw him in without knowing what COULD happen. I didn't luck out with Torry Holt or Peyton manning. I don't have a stud RB, while others do. I have a stud WR and a stud QB. Again, not luck, draft planning.

It's a little fair.  Take a look at your total points for the season.

Zanshin

That's not a knock on you, by the way.  Good job with what you had...more of an observation in general.  Luck and matchups are key in FFL, no matter how you slice it.  Don't want you to think I'm picking on you. ;)
