on the other hand, a great job in the CFFFL league for assembling a winner so far.

:-D Way to throw that in there.

I'm waiting for Manning and the Colts to blow up. It's about time, isn't it?

He's at the store buying some cotton balls and twine. After all, if he's got to roll his own ...

Coles, George, and McNabb (to Wicked Stallions)

for

Ricky Williams (Mia), David Boston (to NinjaC)

Hmmm .... Coles has a string of three 60 yd no TD games, and George and McNabb are having their worst seasons ever with no end in sight. Williams is the third best RB in the league, and Boston just had the second best day of any receiver this season. In two weeks or so this will give NinjaC a starting backfield of Marshall Faulk and Ricky Williams in a 16 team league. Not bad.

I'd say this trade sucks for WS. jmo, but what do i know .....

I agree.  This is why I wish there was a voting period.

First of all there IS a voting period, but you have to pay attention and visit the site.  Also when you signed in if you allowed the league/site to send you messages via email, then you should have been notified that a trade was pending.

Second of all, Faulk is said to be out longer than anticipated so I won't have that backfield for awhile and now my QBs are Beurlien and Brees, that is hardly an advantage.  Not too mention the fact that although D.Boston did have a big day, it was ONE DAY!  Where as Coles has been doing it all season.  Yeah he hasn't had a TD in a couple weeks but we're talking about Coles here, the guy is a top WR.  And Boston has done nothing but dissapoint by bad performance or injuries.

What it really comes down to, is Boston is HIGH risk/high reward.  He either dissapoints/gets injured or he can get you lots of points.  If you look at the first six weeks, you'll notice that he has been very dissapointing.

So I basically traded away a struggling McNabb (but he is McNabb, a potential top 10 fantasy player each season who could break out anytime and knowing me he'll do it this week), a starting RB in George and a top 3 WR for Ricky Williams.

I needed a big time player in R.Williams due to the fact that Faulk has been out but now my QBs are weak for the rest of the season.

Martz appears likely to push back Faulk's return date

QuoteWith Marshall Faulk doing some light jogging behind him, Rams coach Mike Martz said Friday after practice that he's not so sure Faulk will be healed in time for the game Oct. 26 at Pittsburgh.

"I would imagine he's a few weeks away yet," said Martz, who only two days earlier thought Faulk would be ready for the Steelers game. "It's going to be a little while yet. He's not quite ready. We're not in a hurry to get him back, not because we don't need him. It's just that when he comes back we want him fully recovered."

I had to do the trade. Plummer, my QB, is out for 5 weeks with the broken foot and my other QB was Doug Johnson, who was benched for Kurt Kittner. And Vick is coming back in the near future. So with the pickings slim for a QB.

I hated giving up Ricky Williams, but in order to get a starting QB I chose to do so. Ricky has been quiet lately as well. Since he had those 42 carries in the Buffalo game, he hasn't seemed to be himself.

David Boston had that career day against the poor Jaguars defense. San DIego is 0-5 and they're going down the tubes fast. Schottenheimer is a run oriented coach and he has his horse in Tomlinson. Add in Boston's volatile attitude and he could very well get himself into the dog house again.

I did the trade on potential mostly. I am not counting on McNabb sucking for 11 more weeks, nor do I expect the Titans to file away George in the back of the offense. Coles has been held down the last few weeks, but a lot of that has to do with Ramsey not having time to get the ball out.
