Maybe we should have two drafts-- one for people who are responsible and another for those who don't care if other people are waiting around and want to drag it out?

Waiting and checking back isn't fun...that's the point.  If you can't be here just leave a list.  What's the big deal.  How can you forget to do that, unless you're retarded?

To be honest, I don't care about the acutal draft-- I do care that some people are being inconsiderate of the other players.  There's a difference.

CSD you aren't even talking to me or responding to my posts, you are just talking nonsense.  I know we should leave a list, never said we shouldn't.  Did I make a mistake and not leave a list 2 times already?  Yes, my bad.  Not the end of the world though.

I am responding to you, you just don't like what I'm saying.

Fact is people don't leave lists, people aren't on here 24/7 they have lives to live.  People make mistakes.  it's a game, it's FFL.  Why try to make it some important meeting, or like it's our job or obligation.  This is for fun, to get AWAY from the stress of deadlines and jobs.  No need to be anal or take it so serious.  

Dude, people just want to make their picks, that's all.

So when people make a mistake and don't leave a list, and aren't on, don't freak out.  Relax and leave your own list so you dont have to sit around being pissed off and wait all day.

I'm going to be around whether people make their picks or not. But I understand where Zanshin is coming from. You're getting on him for complaining when the fact of the matter is, he is right. People have bveen asked time and time again to send in a list of they aren't going to be around.

No it doesn't take rocket science to figure out.  But it also doesn't take a mere child to point out that this is just a game, calm down and enjoy.  This isn't real life, this isn't a job, this isn't the army, this is FANTASY football.

I don't know about you but I enjoy the game much more when I'm actually playing it, not sitting around while nothing is going on.

If I could just add my 2 cents here on the subject, hopefully we can settle the issue and enjoy the rest of the draft.  

The list thing is a good idea if your pick is coming up and you know there's a good possibility you'll be gone.  But if you log out and theres 15 picks before it comes back to you, that's kind of unreasonable to ask someone to submit a list that far out.  There have been times when I've watched the board for an hour waiting for my turn and nothing happens.  Then I walk away from my desk for 10 minutes and when I get back I've got 3 or 4 messsages saying it's my turn to pick.  

I think the list is a good idea if you're going to be away for and extended period of time....like a day.  If you take off for an hour, no biggie.  This is the reason we're not doing a live draft anyway, so let's stop acting like we should all be online as soon as it's your turn to pick.

Both of you must understand that most of the delays are not bkuz someone didn't leave a list when their pick was only 3-5 picks away.  It is when their pick is 15-20 picks away that most people check out and do other things.  And for you to expect people to sit down and spend an hour to come up with a list of 15-20 players so that you can pick on time is stupid.  We have real lives.

I'll try this one more time larribee.  I understand waiting and checking in isn't fun.  I understand people should be here, or if they are not should leave a list.  That is the right thing to do, and the responsible/considerate thing to do.

But why do YOU sit around and bitch and get mad and let it get you frustrated, when YOU yourself could just leave a list, and NOT have to sit around and wait for those inconsiderate people?

It's simple, instead of being negative, impatient, ranting and raving, leave a list.  Why sit around and just be pissed off?  That doesn't make sense.  posting about how pissed you are doesn't make your pick come any quicker does it?  

Yes CSD it is funner to play the game than sit around waiting/watching.  But you cannot control what SIXTEEN people are doing 24/7, we have other things in life to do.

Look Zanshin, there have been WAY more than 2 people, that is complete and utter horseshtein.  the first day was on the MONDAY that the draft started, and I didn't get to take my lunch until after 1:00pm out here on west coast.  And yet you all were waiting for me to pick at 10:00am.  I was at work, I could do NOTHING about it.  I didn't send a list, I forgot, I made a mistake.  I came on around one and the draft went on.

the NEXT time I caused about a 20 minute delay bkuz someone took my  one pick.  Again I made a mistake bkuz I only turned in one pick, my bad.

That is the only real delays I have done.  So get over yourself and this high and mighty responsibility thing, bkuz there have been plenty of people, if not almost everyone in the draft that has had as many delays as I have.

Talk about clueless.  Do you have some sort of magic timetable?  i mean as far as I or anyone that has been around during this draft can see if they have half a brain, is that there is NO exact science to know when a pick will come up.  People have real lives, people make mistakes, and when someone is on the internet one day and their pick is 20 away, then they leave without a list bkuz they don't have time to make a list of 20 and come back late the next day to find everyone has been waiting, who cares.

Two picks can take 8 hours, and 12 picks can be done in 30 minutes.  It is VERY up and down and all over the place.  There is NO way to have what you call an idea of when to check back in.  That is just nonsense.

Newsflash, NB...the people doing the RIGHT thing shouldn't be penalized.

This isn't about the people who leave lists or are here within a reasonable amount of time to make a pick.  It's about the people who are too forgetful or self-centered to know that they're holding things up.

By the way, I do leave lists...regardless of whether I'm here or not.

And, by the way, you don't really want to get into a pissing match about who's being stupid or who has a "real" life, do you?  You might wind up on the short end of the stick.  Just a thought.

Reidme for the last couple of days has been inconsistent with lists and/or showing up.

That isn't to call anyone out in particular.  Just to get folks thinking of the other players.  It should apply to anyone.
