Crazy stat of the day:

Zhang Yufei, Chinese Swimmer, has won (5) Bronze and (1) Silver in Paris. 

How she has managed to come in third in five different races is just beyond comprehension.

Holy shtein that 100M sprint was unbelievable.  Love the intros!  That stadium went from a complete frenzy to complete silence before the gun.  So awesome!!

I haven't caught a lot of these games but I have come across some pretty cool highlights here and there. But there is one sport that turns me off to the point of complete disgust and honestly makes me ashamed of being American. In shooting we are only in 3rd place. 3rd. I mean, with the hundreds of millions of people we have at our disposable to represent us (minus a lot in prison, I suppose), how are we not totally kicking the entire rest of the world's ass here? Thomas Crooks could have made this team, it's a joke.

Watching this triathalon in the Seine river in Paris, that f'ing water looks disgusting.  Screw the Gatorade and power gel, hand um' an IV of Penicillin and a Z pack at the bike transition.
