With a lot of teams seeming content to wait for their QB next year, I suspect someone is going to get to thinking that he's the smarted guy in the room, that you gotta set trends not follow them, etc., and read the paucity of interest in this crop of QBs as an opportunity to scoop one up "cheaply" with one of those 1st round picks.

If you listen to the fans and pundits, I think we're up to maybe 22 teams with the brainchild of just waiting til next year to draft their franchise QB because there will be more then.

As for Pickett, it might be a smoke screen but I've seen the Steelers don't want him not just because of his small hands and double joints, but also because he fumbled a lot and that's without ever having to play a game in December in Pittsburgh.

Been seeing a lot of mocks with Williams/Mcduffie. I'd be fine with those picks I just don't see Williams lasting until 15. With the offseason wr trade and contract craziness I can see the top 5 guys (Wilson/Williams/Olave/London/Burks) going in the top 15 to 20 with possibly Dotson also going top 20. My guess is if they get Williams it's due to a trade up.

If mocks can be any indication, I like seeing a lot of Jordan Davis going at 15 (if the Ravens don't get him at 14). Even though he's a bit boom or bust I doubt Fletch has a big come back year at this point in his career, and they can't bring him back at the kind of money he's likely to get. Hargrave was all pro until teams started doubling him instead of Cox, and he might be near that level again if they can replace Cox with Davis (if they're able to re-sign Hargrave - if they can't, all the more reason to go DT).

I guess it's possible they wouldn't have to use a first rounder but they will have to trade up for Williams

if they get two players in the first round tonight and one is  Williams it will have been an absolute coup

Yeah and now reports are coming out that Howie is making calls to move up.

Being that this isn't a super talent laden draft I guess I could see a move up bc of that.

Ideally I'd like him to stay put bc I really want some defensive help too.

A 4th and 2 5ths to move up a few spots. Phils/Sixers won so Howie had to farg us
