Hell of a streak the pitching staff is having.
- 4 shutouts in 6 games
- 1.38 ERA in July thus far (starters 1.77, relievers 0.68)
- Relievers are 3-1 (Alvarado 2, Nelson - Dominguez with the sole loss) with 4 saves (Hand 2, Dominguez, Knebel) and 2 ER in 26.1 IP
- Since the terrible four-run first inning on 7/2, Gibson has given up 1 ER in the following 12 innings.
- Wheeler is, well... Wheeler. 2-0, 0.00 ERA in 14 IP in July

Obviously, it's a very small sample size, but the relievers have been pretty good since Girardi left, and incredible in July.

they outright stole that game...that lineup vs. gibson with no offense = L. knebel 1st/3rd 0 outs = L. im surprised yepez didnt break on contact or go home on that grounder. gotta know rhys is abysmal defensively, challenge him. a gapper wouldve still won the game even if hes out. credit knebel, especially for the 3-2 hook on arenado.

i was in lakewood tonight. the team is hot garbage except for painter, abel and brown and luckily painter was pitching. he only went 3 (they have to keep his innings down), 8 of the at bats were uncompetitive. sat low 90s, got up to 95. horrible swings, weak contact when they made contact, the hitters were lost. 9th hitter hit a sharp lineout to LF, that was the only AB with decent contact. if this is what hes going to do in high A, hes going to be in reading by next year. after that, look out.

the phillies having only 4 anti vaxxers (minus brogdon, falter, qoonrod, maybe harper) is a shock. they probably got a bunch of guys shot up recently and realmuto/bohm/nola/gibson were the holdouts.
