i was thinking this earlier but they have to be the worst run organization in sports. to have a $200 mil payroll and play ronald torreyes everyday and run out sam qoonrod out of the bullpen....7 years removed from a rebuild starting.

That's the glass half empty view.

You could also look at the Phillies as close to the best team money can buy if you have zero absolutely zero homegrown talent or minor league assets of note for well over a decade. You have to overpay out the ass just to get a 0.500 team.

Maybe that's not such an optimistic view either.

SS Titantic 3-7
Mets 4-6

Three teams in a Divisional battle with 2 1/2 weeks left. Whole thing is embarrassing but bums are extra embarrassing.

Bullpen two away from the blown save record.

Other than Ranger and now Hector, OK Wheeer, this is the most disinteresting team in Philadelphia sports since Ray Rhodes 1998 Eagles squad. Not a likeable group and very difficult to get behind this team.
