I feel like there might be something of a match between the phils and the cubs. they have 4 outfielders - tucker, pca, seya and ian happ.

happ has a FNTC but they need a 3B and the phillies need a LF and its just...there. hes a perfect fit for the lineup. we'll see.

he stunk last year but has mostly crushed rhp. is he done or was it a bad year? $10M gamble to find out.

they are either trading marsh or he is playing cf. either way they need a big time rh corner of bat. i dont know. might be a middling transition year while you wait for painter, miller, crawford

im alright with not throwing money and years at teoscar or alex bregman or something...still holding out hope for a crazy trade. they need a RH bat, too.

caba cant hit...great glove and legs but its highly doubtful the bat will ever be there. so its really about cashing his status in on something before everyone else finds out.

luzardo is a 2/3 when healthy. when healthy. when. its a risk. 2 years of control. i like this better than the estevez trade. their rotation is really, really good and painter isnt even it.

It's a punt year. I don't blame them for not continuing to go over the apron papa midds ain't Cohen which is why it's dumb giving up prospects for a 5th starter. I'd just roll walkers corpse out there until painters ready

hes not a 5, hes a 3 and if hes right hes your game 3 starter in the playoffs. plus he has an extra year of team control, they arent keeping ranger. painter isnt going to go much past 100 innings next year, hes really more of a fun toy than a reliable pitcher.

walker is entering camp as insurance and only sticks as the long man if he pitches well. high likely DFA and my man gets $18M for 25/26 regardless. what a life.

you can certainly poke holes on the roster but at the moment its full...i dont know why youre whining about not signing an injured reliever to a multi year deal

I'm good with letting Hoffman go. Id rather gamble on a one year deal with Romano than a 3 year deal with Hoffman. I'm sure they'll add another bp arm at some point.

As much as I'd love to see them make a splash they don't have dodgers/yankees/mets farg you money. They're essentially the 2023 Sixers waiting for deals to expire so they can be active next offseason. I still think they can win a ws with their current roster but they need to get hot in the second half not the first like last season. My old man is still convinced they're signing Santander
