Yeah, it's not a very inspiring list at all.  Was saying the other day on FB that Rose probably shouldn't even be an option because he's really not a Phillie, but at the same time he's probably the best option out of everyone listed. 

He played here for 5 years out of 24.  He's a Red.  If he were allowed in the HOF, he'd be in there as a Red.  But he was an integral player (maybe even the difference maker) in the Phillies finally winning their first chip so that's why he's on the list. 

That list is really a testament of how historically awful this franchise has been.

that said i am not sure what steve carlton has to do with pete rose

also carlton is a true blue phillie....if rose was ghandi he shouldnt be on the wall....the fact that he is one of the grossest people ever makes it a no brainer

bottom line: if you are looking to get pete rose on or defend him getting on the phillies wall of fame i suggest rooting for a different team
