but regardless i agree with you embiid is the key.

my point is there was a 13% chance it got any better than this tonight. Stop being a farg face and maybe enjoy that something went our way.

never said best prospect in years...before this year I hadn't seen nearly enough of him....people who had tho did say that he had superstar written all over him and I wanted him badly....but that quickly died away after this past season....I still like him don't get me wrong...but he just doesn't overly excite me right now...especially because he wants nothing whatsoever to do with the sixers

and I am excited right now...but im excited because something didn't go against them....they got the pick they were supposed to get and they aren't getting kris friggin dunn....id be jerking off if this draft had a true star at the top

its no different than the Phillies who have the first overall in a draft worse than the nba draft this year....at least the nba has the ingram/Simmonds duo at the top

im going to go out on a limb and guess there was a reason you left the date off the post...probably cause it was November or December....if you watched him this year you would know that he started off amazing then fell off a cliff

that being said I just said ten minutes agao that he could be a star...he does have some transformational attributes and a huge upside....he just doesn't have star written all over him anymore...plus he also like really really doesn't want to play for the sixers right now...altho that admittedly could easily change

also for the record the reason im not excited as you all and the hinkiebots is mainly because I don't see a huge difference between ingram and Simmonds...not because i don't think they are going to be good...my cheering came when the Celtics card was pulled not the sixers

their cap space is irrelevant anyway....over half the league next year with be able to offer at least one max deal and no one is going to the sixers for equal money

basically the entire rebuild depends on getting the number one overall pick this year....no winnins for simmonds...laker pick not being protected would be huge as well but they need the overall 1 in the worst way

they beat the timberwolves twice last year and finished two games behind them

what the farg are you talking about a difference of 8 or 10 wins doesn't matter....when looking for the #1 spot EVERY farging win matters

again he started the year amazing then ingram almost or did catch him...then he got horrible attitude problems by quitting on the postseason...can he still be a great player sure...does he excite me now as much as he did at the beginning of the season no...you have to remember the world basketball summit youtube and word of mouth was all we had before he played this season....thus you have to evaluate his season as it went and while it was very good there were issues that came up and most importantly ingram put himself on the same level so that there is not appreciable difference between having the number 1 or the number 2 pick this year

no matter how much you guys would like me to go nuts over the number behind their pick I simply cant do it....I have to go by the players and ingram and Simmonds have no separation...getting to pick two wss the crucial part

I see no scenario where Okafor isn't moved this offseason. He doesn't fit, they know it, he has value, they need backcourt help. I know they're waiting to see what happens with Embiid but either way he needs to go.
