I had practically no rooting interest in this series....reasons to root for and against both teams that were pretty much a wash.  At least now we can stop hearing stories about Bartman and Billy Goats and poor, unfortunate Cubs fans every year so I guess that's really the best thing to come out of all this.  Congrats Cubs fans, you just lost the 1 thing that made you relevant.

Cub fans have been the best fans to be around for my whole life. Knowledgeable, nice, and they travel all over.

I do worry that this win will cause that to no longer be the case. They won't go full Red Sox, but I could see them morphing into Cards fans now that the bandwagon is loaded up. That was the main reason I was pulling for the Indians, although the media being totally in the tank for the Cubs was a close second.
