i know you couldnt find temple without a gps but going from the north end of campus to city hall is much more than 5 blocks

but temple will never win anything ever so who cares
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Mmmhmmm yeah I don't know where Temple is. Maybe one day you can take me on a tour?

Rome

I think it's sad that there are people from Philly out there who aren't celebrating this win because they went to another school.

I understand the rivalries that would generally preclude them from being happy for the fans/students/alumni of the school, but this was a regional win for us.

The city gets so few opportunities to celebrate champions that is just seems like a waste of energy to not just tip your cap and say, "great win, guys."

Honestly, I'd cheer for any team from Philly winning regardless of my preferred allegiances.  Even the Sixers or Temple.

It's a Philly thing.  Quit being petty and just enjoy a rare win for the Delaware Valley.

I don't care either way, it didn't ruin my enjoyment of the run. I've always rooted for all the city schools. My earliest memory of college hoops was watching Nova/GTown. Nova to me is as Philly as Temple/St. Joes/Drexel etc.

Lot of argument now, where does that rank as one of the greatest moments in sports history.

Rome

Well, the game itself was special.  Both teams were playing at such a high level.  UNC sprinted out, Nova caught and passed them, then the Heels re-caught them at the end with an insanely improbable three.  Then the playground bomb finish.  It's still fresh in everyone's minds, but if you watch the game again, you'll see just how great the play was on both sides.

Unless you're a self loathing weasel of a person, you should be happy for the city and the big 5.

friday + national champs parade = win (and a sick day call out)

phillies will be under 500 this year...book it

ice grillin you

it's stupid not to root for them but I feel like the parade is a little much.... to me parades should be for the pro franchises

and it's definitely on the short list of best sports moments...it's pretty much the bill mazerowski of college basketball....it's definitely top 10 and probably  higher

i think its sad that villanova would block temple from joining the big east even though every other school in the conference wanted them to join

I had this convo with my buddy about an hour ago. I said it's similar to a walk off HR to win the WS...used Joe Carter as an example. I said it's bigger because the tourney is a bigger deal than baseball is, he disagreed. Basically we both agreed the Jenkins shot ranks up there in the top 10 but his argument is it's not as big of a deal as a walk off HR to win the WS because BB is bigger than NCAA basketball.

ice grillin you

carters was only game six do it doesn't really compare to mazerowski or Jenkins

also mazerowskis happened when baseball was like the nfl is now

One of the biggest plays ever that hasn't entered the conversation is Malcom Butlers pick in the SB. That won them the game.

ice grillin you

yeah definitely huge but it's hard to compare that to a scoring play that literally ended a game

even Jenkins shot loses significant luster if it even happens with .8 left on the clock

if nova is down one or two when Jenkins hits that shot I think it's probably the goat imo

I cant really debate the parade opinion but I have to think college basketball would be the exception if there is one. both on how huge the tourney is and how big the city is on the game.
