Philadelphia Phillies

New York Knicks

Sports hell. Probably up to the local stations about what NFL games to show... guessing they would lean toward Steelers, Eagles, Giants, Ravens, Washington in some order.

So are you saying that if I get league pass that Sixers games will still be blacked out?

Also, not sure how the Phillies are on that list. I know for a fact I've watched some games up here.

the blackouts on the team packages are a different beast. basically small areas in the middle of major markets are free zones that everyone claims in order to stake territory. they prevent people from watching the games via packages in order to force the cable companies to pick up their channels, but there isnt a massive demand for them to do so, since doing so would cost money. sports networks are among the most expensive for cable companies to buy, and that gets passed onto the customer. in short, it sucks.

you watched phillies games on either nbc10 or espn. thats different from csn.

im also now wondering if sarge has passed don as the old and confused member of the board.

No, I've just never had a reason to give a single farg about blackouts or primary and secondary tv markets before.

when i was considering dropping cable for satellite, i did some research on nba league/team pass & it said local games would be blacked out.

yeah but if sarge lives in an area that doesnt get csn philly and is not a philly tv market you would think it wouldnt be blacked out for him

I want to be really annoyed that you have literally no clue about PA geography outside of where Philly is, but I wouldn't know where any of these awful places are either if I had never moved here.  So no...no where near Bethlehem.
