Samaras the Greek national, has signed on to West Brom from Celtic for two years. That's a big boost for them. Should make them a big thorn on the side of any team that plays them.

Rumors: 

Balotelli to Liverpool  (all but a done deal?)

Possibility of Samuel Eto'o eyeing Liverpool as well.

I'm mixed about Balotelli at Liverpool because they have a good thing going there, and it would seem that Super Mario would disrupt what they've built. Sterling looks like he's going to be huge this season.

Week 2:

Rape of the week:

Hot spurs route QPR 4-0 to take top position in the league and spoil Redknapp's homecoming. The look on his face said it all.

Choke of the week:

Everton destroying a lifeless Arsenal 2-0 for 82+ mins and allowing an uninterested gunner's team to tie and get 1 point. (Jake Plummer at the Vet anyone?)

Player of the week:

My vote goes to Javetic, gets two vs. Liverpool and sets up the second goal with a pass and gets to score it himself. Great play.

Observations:

-Man City is stacked. Front line. Mid-field. Back line. Bench. It's going to take a huge choke job to take them out of the top.

-Looks like Liverpool has to find its identity. Quickly. Back line play was soft and was exposed throughout the match vs. Man City. Maybe the Balloteli pick up helps mask that weakness. Also, Sturridge and Sterling were not enough. Let's see how they play in coming weeks.

-Manchester United is MIA. They get a tie.  Moyes is probably smiling. Looks like they need to find their identity. Worst start since 1992 (but they won the league that season). Seemed like that was the problem last year. Still, they'll bounce back, but they need to do it sooner rather than later.

-Swansea gets their second win for a nice start.

United isn't done.  Di Maria is in the fold and now they turn their attention to Vidal.  It's a process, Chuggie.  Kagawa, Chicharito... a lot of these guys aren't going to be around and Van Gaal is still trying to wrangle those that will remain into a decent formation.  They just don't have the horses yet.
