The Phils have a private workout with the Cuban slugger Tomas today

If the Phils lose 2 of 3 in Miami, they clinch last place........and since Todd loves how I keep track of draft picks, the Phils have #9 right now and will clinch a top-11 protected with a couple more losses (they're 3 games up on #12 with 6 to go)

I have off school tomorrow (Thanks, Todd!) and am thinking about taking my son to the Phils-Marlins game in Miami.  It's time to teach him how to properly boo a zesty team.

lol...you gotta love the jew power. like 10% of the workforce/student body is jewish and maybe 1/4th of those people actually give a shtein about the holiday. but do we ever know how to whine and get our way. enjoy the free day!

Not sure, but I got two tickets four rows from the field on the first base side for $40.  I'm sure Choke will be able to hear my encouragement!

Their first (and probably only) double-digit winner this year and it comes in game #158.  If he and Cole finished at 9 wins, it would've been the first time since 1945 that the Phils went a full season without a 10+ game winner
