It's what they made it sound like.  Apparently in the Olympics if it's off at all, it's no goal.  That goal would have counted in the NHL.

The shootout is already ridiculous.  The fact that the same guy can take a shot eleventy billion times in a row takes it beyond that.

The US loses this game by NHL rules. That no goal because the net was off it's moorings, plus no way they win the shootout if Oshie can't take every shot. Quick was fantastic but they lucked out. Whatever, I'll take it. USA USA USA USA.

romey is a super homer for his regular sports teams....i cant even imagine how he is for the usa

me personally i just cant muster up the energy to be a fake patriot once every four years....not saying romey is faking his patriotism....but the olympics for most people are like the people who only go to church on christmas

but even if you are really into olympic hockey this game meant less than nothing.....both teams are locks to be in the medal round....I laughed when pierre was interviewing oshie and he was like how do you perform under that kind of pressure....you could tell oshie wanted to say well there was no pressure because this game meant shtein but he gave some cliché ridden answer instead....its sickening how much nbc is making this into the event of our lives....and of course the sheep will follow
