A Flyers pick if ever I saw one.

From what I've read, he's big, "mean," likes to hit and fight and has some offensive potential, but is extremely raw.  Probably won't see him in Philly until 2016.

Little surprised that Holmgren didn't try to trade down and get a little something extra.  Seems Morin would have been there in 5 picks, but who knows?

EDIT:  The more I read, the more I wish they had traded down.

They took Swedish defenseman Robert Haag with their 2nd round pick. International scouting ranked Haag higher than they did Morin.

I think the Flyers are hoping for a Pronger/Chara type.  That's a lot to ask of a 17 year old beanpole, though.

Which is fine except the league is trending away from those types of players meanwhile the flyers keep stockpiling them. Not to mention Pronger/ Chara had offensive potential...this guy will tip out at 25 points max

where im at I don't have television so I couldn't watch....was there talk of teams tryin to move up and get jones after he dropped a couple spots...and if so were the flyers one of them?
