For those of you who don't venture into the igy/phreak thread...

I am likely out man....I mentioned it to bionic and rjs but haven't put it on the board yet because there is still a small chance I can make it but each day gets slimmer and slimmer. I am pretty fargin' bummed out about it too. The thought of a marathon saturday ncaa party with insane amounts of alcohol make me even more bummed.

My mother has to have a major surgery on Nov 7th. She was sick last year with colon cancer and had a few other issues pop up over the year. She is now cancer free but the other issues have required them to schedule a hysterectomy. Unfortunately they cannot do the laproscopic version and have to make the larger incision.

Its great news in the sense that her prognosis is good and all issues will likely be cleared up once this is done but it sucks because I will likely miss out on the NOLA trip we have been planning since April and my Christmas trip to Europe.

So I will probably have to leave Houston that weekend and will be back home for 2+ weeks.

However this means that I will be able to hit some home games...

I had that same thought on the way out of the stadium earlier. I can't believe I'm spending money to watch these losers and even feel a bit stupid doing so.
