Is 200 text messages really that many over three months? People are on that shtein constantly.

Around here a high school swim coach got caught banging a 15 year-old and the news was going crazy about how they traded nearly 100 text messages. Maybe I don't cut to the chase as quickly as some, but I think it's a little impressive to cultivate a girl from "Hi, I'm your new swim coach. Don't forget we have practice today" to "Take off your panties and wait on your parents' couch" in just 50 messages a piece.

Talk about a bad omen. Alabama's crystal BCS Championship Trophy from last fall's title team was shattered during Saturday's A-Day scrimmage, reported Tide Nation.

The trophy, valued at $30,000, was reportedly knocked off its podium by a current player's father, who tripped on a rug that sits at the bottom of the display. It was located at the Mal Moore Athletic Facility halls, which holds Nick Saban's office.

This isn't the first recent mishap involving college football trophies. Florida's 2008 BCS trophy was broken by then-recruit Orson Charles and Missouri's mascot, Truman, broke the Independence Bowl trophy in December.

Notre Dame QB arrested for resisting arrest and battery of a police officer

Rees was among about five people who jumped a backyard fence and ran after officers arrived to break up a loud party several blocks from campus about 12:30 a.m. following the last day of Notre Dame's spring semester classes, Trent said.

When an officer caught up with Rees, the 19-year-old raised his knee into the officer and they both fell down, Trent said. Rees continued to resist so the officer pepper-sprayed the quarterback so officers could handcuff him, Trent said.

Looks like a 4-team playoff will replace the BCS in 2014, with the two semifinal games being rotated through the major bowl sites and the championship game being bid out like the Super Bowl
