Howard is a little soft mentally in the sense that I don't think he could handle the media and fans in Philly if the team wasn't playing well for an extended period of time.   Anywhere is easy to play if you're winning.  But for all of his nonsense the last year+ the guy was still balling out on the court.

Another hypothetical: Howard says he'll come here if Williams signs...do you sign Williams then? It's been so long since we had a player of Howard's caliber that I think the fans would embrace him regardless of his antics. My biggest worry with him is his back issues. Big men plus back issues can be disastrous.

If we were talking about this a year ago I'd be all in on Howard. But his attitude and little bullshtein act he played out this year in Orlando was despicable.

williams is one of the best pg's in the league from a scoring and assist standpoint and howard in unquestionably the best big man in the game. who gives a farg if hes drama or not off the court. both cats suit up and ball their asses off. mds, take your shawn bradley jersey off before you go to bed.
