I like what ET has shown thus far - he looks more natural this year than he did last year. Hawes is playing great too.

Meeks has been awful.

I love watching this team

SunMo

meeks and brand have been horrible.

i didn't want them to amnesty brand at the beginning of the year but now i do.  he's done.

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

One thing that frustrates the hell out of me about Turner is that he can never, ever finish on a drive to the basket. If the other team has any decent shot blocking big man it's almost a guaranteed block. He might not be a great athlete but he's still 6'7", and I'm pretty sure I've never seen him doing a single shot fake. Lou is half a foot shorter than him, goes to the rim a lot more and ET still has 2x as many blocked attempts.

thats precisely why i said when they drafted turner that he had no ceiling...he has a relatuively high floor as he does a lot of things good but his lack of athleticism and really the lack of having any above average skill (passing being a possible exception) will prevent him from ever being anything of note

Phreak had mentioned loving watching this team play and I wish I had that feeling like last year.

The unknown last year and watching them grow was the excitement for me. The are the same exact team as last year with a little bit of improved play from Hawes (so far)....so I know exactly what im getting and what the outcome will be come seasons end.

They need a banger with a post game so bad on the inside.

it is annoying that the majority of us scrubs on here knew what ET was but the sixers didn't and maybe still don't. i was annoyed the entire utah game watching favors play. shtein, even with the attitude i still think cousins is a way better missing piece for this team.

and i'm not getting super excited about hawes yet. yeah he has looked much better but as a sixers fan anyone not completely awful at center is somewhat exciting.

they dont need a post player....the days are gone where you needed a big man in the post to win...i sound like a broken record but they need antonio davis...a smash mouth four that can defend the rim and gobble rebounds

they also need a shooter or two

big picture the sixers arent far away from being the pistons team that won it all in 03 but they dont have anything close to that ben wallace type presence inside and they cant shoot

Dwight just tweeted he saw the winter classic fight video and said he would never come here.

I don't think so. I mean how many teams had an Antonio Davis or Ben Wallace type player and won the championship? Now how many won the title and had a legit post player?

Would you rather rely on your jump shots to consistently fall in a 7 game series or have a post player that can back down and iso a defender, pass to a cutter and dish out the open j? So much more can be done with a multi-dimensional post player than those players you mention. I'm not saying having the Wallace's or Antonios of the world aren't a sweet deal, but I'd rather go with history and shore up my inside scoring....if not...the stars have to align and your multiple shooters (which the we know the Sixers don't have) have to be lights out.

theres like two really good post players in the entire league and one great one in ALL of college....yeah once every 25 years a shaq is going to come along but those days are long gone...if you are waiting for a big who excels in the post to fall in the sixers laps you are going to be a sad sad man when you die
