the real wtf is on the giants side. they gave up good prospects for beltran and didn't even try to re-sign him. instead they spend more money on mediocre pitching.

Smugly would be dripping with extra smugness if that happened....you'd be able to sop that shtein up off the podium with a sponge if he got Madson back on the cheap.

I agree they should throw a deal at him and see if he comes crawling back. But I doubt that happens - Boras likes to wait wait wait and with pitching at a premium he will find a spot for him.

that would be a joke because smugerson could have had madson at less than half the price as paplebon....madson still being available doesnt shine a good light on smugs it shines a horrible light on the fact that he went out on a spaz mission and massively overpaid for a closer in a closers market
