The NFC is completely up for grabs right now.  The Eagles have been far from flawless but easily could've (should've?) won @the team with the best record in the conference.

I don't think this is a great team but if they can grab a bye, who knows?  I'm concerned about Demeco's injury.  I think he's been a stabilizing force in the defense this year.

you will rethink this in a couple weeks when they lose in gb by 30

Eagles have the best point differential in the NFL despite having a -10 turnover differential.   It's not really disputable that they are in the mix at the top of the NFC.

Green Bay is a high variance team.  Saints had been playing like ass and blew their doors off.  Other weeks GB looks like the best team in football.  I wouldn't be surprised with any result @GB.

string. they are winning the other games. 2/3 in that swing gives them 12-4 and a pretty good shot at the bye.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Not really.  Everything I said is a fact.  They lead the NFL in point differential despite getting bad QB play and turning the ball over at an ungodly rate.  GB lost by 21 points last week.  I don't expect the Eagles to win in GB but let's not act like they are an unstoppable force this year.   Every team in the NFC is flawed.   Seattle is scraping by against bad teams.  The Niners are 4-4.  The Lions D is playing great but their O is struggling.  Arizona is solid but obviously beatable.  Green Bay looks like world beaters or loses depending on the week.

Sometimes stating reality isn't the same thing as being a homer.  I'm not picking the Eagles to come out of the NFC but you have to be a willing contrarian to say that a team that leads the NFL in point differential despite a massive turnover deficit shouldn't be involved in the conversation.

I think the difference btwn me and you is that you are a stat guy and im an eye test guy...not saying one is better than the other but they are differenet

I agree that other than the Giants game the Eagles haven't played a clean game all year.  I think part of that is due to the number of points their O is giving away with turnovers.

The other problem down the line is in the playoffs unless you have an elite D you're usually safer picking the team with the elite QB & even if Sanchez proves to be better than Foles, he's still going to be the worst QB in any game they're in come January.

I see this year like last year....a division title is probable....but so is not winning a playoff game

That farging jersey grabbing mother farger was on that domestic violence commercial the NFL put out.  I yelled out "farg you icehole" when his face popped up.  My son "asked what was that for?"  I told him it was for Freddie.  PI at it's best (or worst).

@RoobCSN: In 25 games under Bill Davis, Eagles have allowed just one run of 30 yds - 35-yarder by Terrelle Pryor last year in 49-20 win over Raiders.

That's impressive

Wow!  Good shtein.

Both these guys are Eagles now

It would be shame if DeMeco's injury was career ending, at least with the Eagles. Good player. Silver lining is that next year is the first year they can release him with no cap hit (bannerbonerz!). Trent's salary balloons to almost $12m next year and Graham's contract is up.

five seconds after he went down i assumed his eagle career was over

shtein even without a serious injury he was heading towards the end of his overly productive days...will be 31 next year and has played more snaps than i think any defender in the nfl over the last three years (until he got hurt obviously)

the entire nfc east has a total of two wins against teams outside the division who are over .500....and even if you count division games its only a total of three (wash over dal)
