Mathis - keep
Herremans - keep with a pay cut
Demeco - keep for the vet leadership and let him be a two down player
Celek - he's Chip's swiss army knife player so I imagine he'll be back

As for Marcus Smith - here's an idea...stop making him inactive or trying to play him at ILB and put him in on passing downs and let him rush the passer

hes not a pro pass rusher...thats not gonna happen....hes a scheme blitz type guy...if hes gonna play in the league he needs to be able to do everything...play a little inside and make tackles...run a little bit with te's and backs....hes not an edge rusher

also shocking you would keep just about everyone...altho im proud of you for getting rid of even one...every eagle is the greatest!!

Can't disagree for a second about Casey.  Didn't realize he was getting that much, but he was signed before Chipper signed if i remember correctly.  And you're 100% right, they know how to scout positions.

you should want a great team not a good one

you should want better players so they can improve the roster and take a next step ultimately leading to a title...this is about the team not guys youve become attached to simply because they wear an eagle jersey

Mathis is as good as there is in the NFL - so no need to get rid of him. Herremans is pretty good and I would like to keep him.
