it reeks of howie and jeff thinking they built the greatest team ever, so it must be the coaches fault why they arent undefeated

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Agree with Todd, this is Lurie & Sons thinking they've built Patriots Dynasty 2.  They were given shtein on defense to work with.  D line has been a disappointment, no one on this thread is shocked at how bad the Secondary and pitiful LBs have been.  Slay and Crumbleberry are toast, awful drafting and FA acquisitions and horrible personnel moves overall on defense.

I dunno - I'd rather give it a shot and see if it sparks something.

The man. The myth. The legend.

So much so that Slay decided it would be a good time to go have surgery.

If it works...then what? Do they get credit for making the change?

We all see the crap that's been called.

If they didn't make a change and they kept getting rocked they'd be ripped for letting it stay status quo.

I know the odds are low. But it couldn't be worse.

The team loses two in a row in the first time in forever, against two very good offenses, and it's time to push the panic button? C'mon.

It can be worse. It can be a lot worse. Most things that involve Matt Patricia are a lot worse.

The move is incredibly bizarre, and basically unprecedented for a 10-3 team at this point in the season. Maybe Desai lost the locker room or had irreconcilable differences with Sirianni, to an extent that justifies the move. But looking at the team from the outside, it's an absolutely wild decision to make. No one with a record like 10-3 cuts bait with a rookie coordinator instead of riding it out. It was clear to everyone that Gannon sucked, and there was never a hint of doing something like this... and it then would have been Vic Fangio instead of worthless Matty P.

PhillyPhreak54

It is bizarre no doubt.

Speaking of Gannon - he started this downfall because of his dalliance with the Bidwill's during the SB week it cost them Fangio.

MDS

they would have a worse record with gannon

the whole thing is just organizational hubris. howie and jeff believe they have built the greatest team ever, so when they suck for a small sample size it must be coaches and not the flawed talent

More surprising than the loss tonight is that nobody yet has started a Fire Nick Sirianni thread. Actually neither is surprising. Who can be bothered.
