ice grillin you

you can also make an argument that the saints were lucky to be in the game as they got dominated minus the turnovers

the refs were atrocious on the saints winning drive....the pass interference penalty was a joke at that point in the game...you just dont make that call you let the players decide it...i also thought the meachem catch was no good...but no way did the refs cost them the game....minnesota got 7 pts from the pass int in the end zone which was also weak

the nfl has a big problem in general with calling way to many pass interference penalties...and pass interference calls in the end zone should not be put at the one yard line...or at least make two different kinds...one where the corner is blatantly interfering to prevent a td (similar to the free path foul in the nba) and one where its incidental contact
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

I agree... I think Meachem dropped/trapped that ball too...and that ball was completely uncatchable on that PI call.  I think they also blew the 4th and inches where Thomas jumped over the pile.  He had the ball knocked out of his hands and backwards and the ball ended up behind the 1st down line.  There was a real nice sideline view that showed it... although admittedly it was a pretty close call.

I've always felt the way the NFL penalizes PI needs to be tweaked.  It's ridiculous that a team can be penalized 50 yards or more on one play.

agree. interesting a player can rip someones facemask around almost breaking their neck and get 15 yards, but if that said player brushes his arm over a wr on a bomb before a catch it will cost him and the team 40 or 50 yds.

doesnt make sense that the PI call is the only penalty play in the game thats more than 15 yds....but if they change it, scoring will be down which the nfl wont like. might be a tough rule to change

i agree on the thomas call as well but i didnt bring it up because it was so close and almost an impossible call to overturn when youre talking about using camera angles to judge things that are in mid air...its different when youre talking about the goal line....but its a whole nother story when its about breaking an imaginary line versus a big white one

how the f are the colts only 4.5 point favorites? I was shocked this wasnt tagged at -7

they just put up 30 pts against the #1 ranked def with a shutdown corner and crushed their run game. They werent able to run as effective with addai or brown against the ravens and jets (80 yds is respectable) which was expected, but now knowing you can def run on the saints adds a whole new dimension to the colts ridiculous offense. please explain.

rjs246

The Saints offense is worlds better than the Jets' offense.
The Colts' defense is worlds worse than the Vikings defense, which New Orleans scored 31 against.

Shootout.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Reese, the Colts run offense doesn't exactly scare the panties off little girl scouts asses. Saints have proved to use a good balance of run and pass. Which makes the passing that much more deadly.

that my point hb--the colts d smashed the jets run game which is their strong suit. you take that away from the saints they become one dimensional.

add to the fact that colts scored 30 against the best d, thats just more playing catch up for the saints.

and rj--not too sure where youre getting the colts d is worlds worse than the vikings. rethink.

the line has nothing to do with what happened yesterday

the line for a colts saints superbowl was the same on saturday as it is today

Vikings D = 6th in the league, Colts D = 18th

Rocket science.

Reese, you're right...they smashed the Jets's only weapon.

Saints have rushing AND passing.

If they colts are stupid enought to play the saints like they did the jets...their caching staff should all be fired and the Saints are going to systematically rape the colts for a superbowl win.

phattymatty

did anyone else feel like they were watching an eagles game at the end of regulation yesterday when the vikings were running the ball with under a minute left to try to set up the 50+ field goal?

seasonal stats means nothing in the playoffs. colts outscored opponents 50-20 in playoffs. horrible d

I'm not getting into a Munson/IGY style argument with you about it, but you're trying to tell me that 16 games with the same defensive personel and coaches don't count, only the last two playoff games count, for the aribtrary reason that 'they're playoff games'? Sure thing, smart stuff.

you dont have to get an argument with me if you just except the fact the colts defense in not worlds worse than the vikings.

you have two of the best pass rushers in the league--wtf are you talking about?
