well johns was closed, so we went to tony lukes. awesome cheese steak, great meat and bread was made there

Tony Luke's, Steve's and Chink's have always been my 3 favorite. I've never tried John's either. Not even for their pork.

I actually like Steve's chicken cheesesteaks better than their regular ones. If anyone ever goes there, check out their chicken steaks. Maybe the best in the city.

I also thought the same exact thing about Slack's. Are you farging kidding me? Their steaks are terrible. What a sellout.

As for the cheese, I've always been an american cheese kinda guy. I hate cheese wiz, and I like provolone, but to me that is a hoagie type of cheese, not ideal for steaks.

i had a rick's in the reading terminal and a white house in AC over the last couple days. 

rick's is not that good.  white house is still the shtein.

i had a cheesesteak here in florida this afternoon that was about as close to a real cheesesteak as it gets.  it was at a place called laspada's in orange city.

the thing was huge, actually.  it had real steak and the onions were grilled perfectly.  plus they used a nice sharp provolone (at my request) on the steak which really lit the sammich up.

good stuff.
