My only worry is that this win gives the Eagles more excuses that you don't need a stud WR to win a Superbowl.

When in reality if you are a real franchise it should give you more motivation. If the farging Giants can win a SB, then if we load up so can we.

Two good things about the Giants winning tonight:

1.  Tiki was watching from the booth or whereever media hellhole NBC put him in tonight.
2.  Shockey was watching from the luxury box.

I never minded Tiki, but he's been running his mouth on Eli for two seasons now - kind of sounded like a sourpuss about it.  And Shockey's just a compelte jerk, so it's nice to see his team win without him.

Of course, it's still a freaking New York team.  But they beat a freaking Boston team, and recently I'm not sure which city's fans are worse.

if it was any other boston team id be ok with tonight...but the patriots arent a boston team and have virtually no fans to speak of...the giants on the other hand will be even more sickening than ever

I'm not mad so much that NY won, but the fact that we went to the title game 4 times and didn't win one SB, and the Giants went on a lucky fluke season and won.

i didnt mean they are super motivated like say the pats are. i meant they are what they are. nothing changes. this wont push reid to do any more or any less. he might use it to justify not getting playmakers but this wont be the reason.
