QuoteFlyers playing at beaver stadium?

I want to see the Flyers play a game outdoors, just like the Penguins and Sabres are doing on New Year's Day.

Much to my surprise, Flyers management agrees with me.

In fact, general manager Paul Holmgren already has some plans in mind — namely a game between the Flyers and Penguins at Penn State.

That's not a typographical error: Penn State, Beaver Stadium, 100,000 rabid hockey fans shouting their heads off, all under the stars.

"I don't know if it's even feasible," Holmgren said Saturday night, "because to have ice outside at an outdoor stadium you have to have certain temperatures. So I have no idea, I've never been to Happy Valley personally but I think it would be kind of cool."

Imagine all those Penguin and Flyer fans crammed into the famous venue, exchanging loud pleasantries.

"I think the league wants to make this (outdoor games) a yearly event," Holmgren said. "If that's the case, we would certainly like to be involved in one of those games somewhere."

The location in the Nittany Mountains, where the odds for cold weather are better, would be more conducive than holding the game at the Linc or Heinz Field.

Yes times infinity.  I'd even take the train if I had to.

The whole stadium will be punch fighting each other by the first intermission.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

That is the coolest farging thing I have ever heard.

There isn't much I wouldn't do for a ticket to that game.

My goal would be to fight someone to get amped up before the game.

I hate to ruin your fun, but the idea of driving up to Bumblefarg, PA and drinking myself silly in 0 degree weather while watching a meaningless regular season hockey game just doesn't do it for me.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Here we go with the Clarke-like trades again:

Ben Eager to Chicago for Jim Vandermeer

Seabiscuit36

i'm torn on the trade.  Eager has more upside than Jimmy Vandemeer, but i guess they got tired of his antics.  Supposedly he was getting himself in trouble for going out in Old City too often for the teams liking.
