i will say as i did at the start of the year that this team porobably wont make the playoffs and they have their share of players i cant stand but damn they are fun to watch sometimes...great game

I could not believe that last shootout goal.  Crazy, just crazy.

You probably didn't hear this on your feed but the Canes and Flyers haven't won a shootout in their last 6 shootouts or something crazy like that. I'm actually shocked when they score and when our goalie blocks a shot.

Its a joke and the fact the Flyers suck at shootouts makes it that much worse. I was fine with the 4 on 4 OT format

Biron was farging horrible, This team needs a specialist for the gayout.  There is no reason why Biron is so farging solid on breakaways, but in the shootout, he shteins a brick

I want to see the Flyers play a game outdoors, just like the Penguins and Sabres are doing on New Year's Day.

Much to my surprise, Flyers management agrees with me.

In fact, general manager Paul Holmgren already has some plans in mind — namely a game between the Flyers and Penguins at Penn State.

That's not a typographical error: Penn State, Beaver Stadium, 100,000 rabid hockey fans shouting their heads off, all under the stars.

"I don't know if it's even feasible," Holmgren said Saturday night, "because to have ice outside at an outdoor stadium you have to have certain temperatures. So I have no idea, I've never been to Happy Valley personally but I think it would be kind of cool."

Imagine all those Penguin and Flyer fans crammed into the famous venue, exchanging loud pleasantries.

"I think the league wants to make this (outdoor games) a yearly event," Holmgren said. "If that's the case, we would certainly like to be involved in one of those games somewhere."

The location in the Nittany Mountains, where the odds for cold weather are better, would be more conducive than holding the game at the Linc or Heinz Field.
