i must be thinking of sd eagle then...someone was telling me at a tailgate that they wanted a richards jersey but didnt wanna to get it then have him leave in a couple years

oh and they didnt make richard jerseys in 2004...you mean two years ago

Yeah it was me, I'm gettin one but don't get it till Dec. 25th

I'm relieved this deal got done, Richards is the type of player that leads teams to cups.

Rome

NHL.com has a 13-15 WEEK backlog for jerseys.

Just in time for the playoffs!!11!

This teams inability to play well after a win is almost as hilarious as their ability to play well after a loss. The Habs are skating circles around them.

Lose last game of the season = Stanley cup

this game is worse than the penguin game was great

they just dont match up with the canadians at all
its kinda like flyers vs buffalo the last five years
the flyers skill level is just far inferior

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

I don't know that their skill level is that inferior, but you're right in that they don't match up well with the habs. The efforts not there, they're making dumb mistakes and you can tell they're not skating hard. Fitzpatrick is awful, I'd rather see a guy like Parent get some ice time rather than have that scrub out there.

Rome

It's a young team learning to win on a consistent basis.  Games like last night are going to happen occasionally.  It's too bad because as IGY said as good as they looked against the Cindy's they looked twice as bad against the Frenchies.

Oh well... long season ahead.

occasionally = every other game

which is why they are two points away from being out of the playoffs

and they arent that young....ill give the they are trying tio fit a lot of new players in the mix excuse some merit but this notion that they are some baby faced team doesnt really fly

Here's their roster:

http://flyers.nhl.com/team/app?service=page&page=TeamPlayers&type=roster

Most of their core players are either new to the Flyers or they're under 30 and many are either 25 or under 25, including Richards, Carter, Lupul, Coburn, Upshall & Hartnell.

And let's not forget they haven't had Simon Gagne for over a month and Derian Hatcher has been all but useless because of injury.

they have eight players over 30 and seven players under 25....

and you cant say players that have been in the league for three years like richards carter lupol ect...are too young...christ richards is an assitant captain and just signed a 70 million dollar deal but hes to young?

well have to agree to disagree beacause im not buying the youth excuse

I never used youth as an excuse.  I merely said they were a young team (and they are in certain core areas) that is learning how to win on a consistent basis.  It's a team made up of young guys and veterans who are mostly from other teams.  There are going to be bumps in the road, and let's not forget it's only mid-December.  They have plenty of time to get things straightened out and they will especially when Gagne returns and Hatcher gets his act together health-wise.

Rory needs to be put down, bring up Picard or Nasty Nate.  If Hatch is going to be out for any longer, there is no point having -12 Rory in the lineup.

im getting to the point where i put stevens on notice...when a team has such a jeykll and hyde persona from game to game for going on over a month now then to me coaching is a problem

stevens has always been a players coach
i was never sure if that was a bad or good thing
im starting to think with this team its bad

What a shtein way to lose a game. The Flyers are the worst shootout team in the short history of shootouts.
