QuoteThe Flyers handed out their team awards in a pregame ceremony. Mike Richards won the Bobby Clarke Trophy as team most valuable player; Kimmo Timonen won the Barry Ashbee Trophy as most outstanding defenseman; and Braydon Coburn and Riley Cote shared the Pelle Lindbergh Memorial Trophy for most improved player. Biron earned the Yanick Dupre Class Guy Memorial Award winner and another award for accumulating the most star of the game points. Richards also was recognized as the Flyer who has the best rapport with the fans.

good thing no back to back.  I'm just pissed i have to listen to Benniatti and Laughlin talk hockey now.  Laughlin has the worst voice in sports, all nasal, and Benniatti is an idiot who thinks he's god's gift to hockey.  But i guess thats better than the Pens broadcasters who said that "The Flyers played with more emotion, because they didnt want to face the penguins if they lost"

I'm up in the air about this series, on the one hand the Flyers are playing their best hockey and Biron has been unbelievable, on the other hand Ovechkin is unreal and Huet played really well down the stretch. One thing to factor in is the Southeast division is the worst division in hockey only sending 1 team to the playoffs...and the Caps barely made it.

caps third best team in the nhl since thanksgiving...granted their division is not that good but 3rd best in the nhl is still 3rd best in the nhl...

flyers get a nice break by having the series start friday as their wounded have an extra couple days to heal

Flyers in seven.  I'm not thrilled about the prospect of them facing the Caps, though.  Ovechkin might score 20 goals in seven games.

The Caps D is suspect with Mike Green and Tom Poti being your best 2 dmen.  Green is an offensive force but isnt impressive in his own zone.  Im not even going to waste my time picking my winner because its pointless, but this should be a good series.  I just hope Upshall and Downie play and they keep Sami's little churning legs off the ice.

upshall could be an x factor here...he played possessed the last two games

downie should be helping the phantoms win a title

If its between Dowd, lil' Sami, and Downie, i want Downie in there because he actually plays how a 4th liner should.  One thing about Downies history is that he's a huge playoff performer thruout his Jr career and in the worlds.  But your right, i dont see him playing.

Upshall when he plays with emotion is a very good player, sets up very well in front of the net for a smaller guy, has great speed, and has no regard for his body.  His body breaks down so often because the guy plays like a bullet fired in Camden
