I think he's improved a lot and also the fact that Andy didn't run the TE on the left side of the formation the whole game or refuse to have backs chip also helped.

If Peters is who he is supposed to be and plays up to the standards of a stud LT, that will help Justice a lot too.

QuoteEagles not planning to sign Runyan

So we just posted a rather long breakdown of the Shawn Andrews aftershocks in Philadelphia.  But we left one loose end to tie up, which we thought was worthy of its own post.

According to Bob Brookover of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Eagles are reportedly so impressed with right tackle Winston Justice's play that they do not feel the need to sign free agent Jon Runyan at this point.

Runyan has also worked out for Kansas City and Buffalo, but remains unsigned.

Justice, a goat in Philly for one memorably awful performance, now has become one of the key figures for their 2009 season.

QuoteThe NFL office clarified that Winston Justice's $5,000 fine from the opener was for unnecessary roughness. "On a run play, he unnecessarily struck his opponent late," a league spokesman said.

But the douche who hits McNabb late gets nothing. Nice.

Ain't that some shtein?? That play has been shown over and over, but not one mention of the league posting any fines or even looking into it.

shorebird, yes, it was reviewed and it was stated a few times in the news that there were no fines being handed out. the league said there was nothing wrong with it.

I thought so too, initially. But the more I watched it, the more I changed my mind. The guy was already IN the end zone. He knew McNabb had already crossed the goal line. It wasn't like he was hurrying to catch up to him from the 10 yard ine and just got there a tad late.

he aint no toddy

someone called me a clown because i asked coaches near a controversial play what they saw and mentioned it in the story. then someone got angry with me because i used quote from a coach jokingly complaining about the placement of speakers at a stadium.

he aint no me.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

just to clear things up--still not dependable.

Per roto: Eagles RT Winston Justice is scheduled for knee surgery and his 2011 season, as well as his career, may be in jeopardy.
Justice has a bone chip in his left knee and he may need microfracture surgery, according to Dr. James Andrews. In a best-case scenario, Justice will just need a scope. Regardless, this will partially explain Justice's woeful performances in crucial games against the Vikings in Week 16 and Packers in the playoffs. Massive yet raw youngster King Dunlap would be next in line to protect Michael Vick's blind side. It's a major concern for the Eagles.
