I hope he'd give himself and the offensive line a big fat "F" then because they sucked holy ass on Sunday as a group.

I think Runyan is definately at a point in his career/life where he could give a farg what Reid and Co. think.

All this talk of Jeremy Bloom coming back......I wonder if he told the Eagles to kiss his ass. Wouldn't surprise me. Imagine you are him, and they cut you, only two replace you with two bums, who you are most definately more capable than. You might be inclined to catch on somewhere else at that point.

thats exactly what i was thinking when he said it pp...hes a short timer with nothing to lose

i think people need to ease up on bloom being better than almost anyone not named lewis or reed...i mean the guy did absolutely nothing...i personally would have kept him and gave him a shot...but the bigger problem is spending two years on a project that didnt work out and leaving yourself bent over naked in a bath house...and when that does happen going with two guys who have never in their lives done the job youre asking them to do

im just not feeling strong about a campaign to bring bloom back
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

QuoteFunny, but wouldn't NOT turning it over on returns be a step in the right direction, regardless of the offense right now?  I contend it would.

I dont think its the turnover factor, because they were freakish things that rarely happens, if at all to the Eagles. Its the fact that we dont have anyone that can advance the football (besides Westbrook) more than 15 yards on a kickoff, and 5 yards on a punt.

Its the fact that he going back to Reno JUST to catch thats even more sickening, and STILL not addressing a major void

kind of like 62 yard fg's at the buzzer

there has to be more going on with Bloom than we know. Its was easily apparent that he was quicker than what we ever had back there, and the fact he didnt get a shot should justify even more.

That injury must be a lingering thing and the staff knew it. His abilities become null n void

My point is he is was better than Lewis or Reed. That's the rub. Get rid of a guy, who is your number one option at the time (number one mostly because he CAN FIELD the punts and kickoffs), and replace him with two guys, who at the time you released Bloom weren't even what you would consider number two or three.

His abilities become null and void? He hurt his toe. Worst case is he has a severe case of turf toe. Even then he could still go out there, catch the ball and farging fall down. That would have been WORLDS better that GLew or Reed out there. Eventually he would get healthy, and you would have a guy that isn't probably world class by any stretch, but was better than what you threw out there in '06....which would mean that you had upgraded the position.

Not having Andy Reid would at least at this point make the Eagles 1-0 instead of 0-1.

during runyans monday nite radio show a caller asked him what grade hed give andy reid for the gb game and he said "a D"....it was awesome but at the same time i couldnt believe it

I'm not.  Runyan's never really been one to toe the company line.  Plus he knows that his career is almost finished and probably doesn't want to waste what little chance remains of him winning a SB.  He's come within 3 points of winning it twice now.

Need to ease up on it? That's the entire farging point my man. im talking about people hollering to bring him back...like hed be some kind of savoir....brian westbrook should be this teams punt returner until a time when they can plug a valid return man in there....and i dont see that happening until next year

kind of like 62 yard fg's at the buzzer

And drive extending kicks to the groin

And fumbled snaps on gw fg attempts

And Jake Plummer to Martay Jenkins

And James Mungro

And fog

Had he been in the Green Bay game, he probably could have acted as savior. All he would have had to do is catch two punts - better yet - not farging go anywhere near one of them, and bingo! Bloom/Mahe(wretch) save the game! Eagles win 13-3!

and that worst case has killed many NFL players for an entire season. Dont downplay it, because when you see Bloom out there running like Terry Fox, you'll be the first one calling for his benching

Magical_Retard

you know what i hope they do not bring reno back. i do not want them to stick with g lewis or reed at punt return (although reed at KR is fine i think), but go find other bums who can field punts and have speed. out of the many players cut im sure there is someone out there who can catch punts and has more speed/agility/vision than reno has. there has to be. but i guess if they were texting reno while the game was being played than they really do not care to look further.

btw the bloom pick is another pefect example of them claiming they addressed the position or that they attempted to thru the draft when ppl bring up how they never really fill the needs. gaddis worked out perfectly as well.

One of the first games I remember going to was when the Jim Bakken of the Cardinals beat the Eagles on a last second field goal in the mid-1970's.  Amazingly the Cardinals were head and shoulders better than the Birds then, so it was actually a pretty big surprise that they were even that close to winning.
