Speaking of Avant, can he return punts?

Bloom might not have provided a "boost" in the return game but at least he knows how to catch the farging ball.

I agree, but McNabb is just as much to blame as Reed and Lewis.

not even close

it wasn't donovan's fault they went to all passing mode late in the game, it wasn't donovan's fault that his receivers dropped a bunch of balls again.

donovan wasn't great, but he played good enough to win the game.  to even begin to put him on the same level as Reed and Lewis is stupid.

I only blame Reid (this time game) if he's responsible for Segrest, then he should burn. The offense, as crappy as they played, did well enough to win the game (this time). ST handed, HANDED, Green Bay 10 points. McNabb's stupid pick only cost them a figgie. I'm way too pissed off...

So what, he left too many plays on the field today. The guy is a 9 year vet, he should never play like that. poorly thrown balls, terrible reads, throwing right to defenders, it's retarded for him to make those mistakes. 15/33? Are you f'n kidding me? 15 for 33!

The point was McNabb's pic didn't do the most damage and was negligible by comparison (and yes he did suck today) but even with that if the ST didn't farging give away 10 points the entire complexion of the game is changed.

I agree, but McNabb is just as much to blame as Reed and Lewis.

Sorry but that's just dumb. McNabb's one pick (I don't care what should have been picked off, they weren't so they don't count anymore than the D's near picks do) didn't amount to anything other than 3 points and that was only because the field was so farging short for the defense to begin with. ST gave up a TD what, 6 minutes into the game because of a muff and another muff gave up the game winner. It's not even in the same realm.

On that one drive (late 3rd/early 4th), Westbrook had two clang off the hands in one possession.

Even though Reed definitely shouldn't have tried catching the punt, I'm not going to pin the game on him. Stupid play. Stupid call to put him in when he hasn't returned a punt since preseason 4 years ago. Last I checked, Westbrook was pretty fargin good at returning punts and has actually done it before. Nice call going with the guy you signed a couple days ago.

Like I said, I'd much rather them resign Bloom then Mahe. Bloom will have more of an impact just recieving the punts cleanly with the chance to break one then GLew's 20 or so catches will have this year. Cut GLew, resign Bloom, keep Reed on KR's only.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Is DB position coach a promotion over ST coordinator.

There is plenty of blame to go around on this one.  As poorly as McNabb played, the onus has to fall on the special teams today.  Reid better have Heckert scouring the wire for punt returners.

Fire Reid!

Yes. I'm thinkin they want him to eventually replace JJ as DC.

I don't care who they sign as long as they can catch the ball and Segrest decides to buy a book on the merits of Special Teams blocking.

Less than 50% completion
3 batted balls
Less than 6 yards per attempt

And we only scored 13 points. You're telling me 13 points is good enough to win?

I like Donovan, a lot, but he's our QB and he can't play like a damn rookie and expect us to win. Just a terrible performance. Can't believe he played that bad.

"Special" Teams.  They better take the short bus home.
