Unfortunately, I'll miss this game entirely because I'll be on a greyhound bus going home from a wedding.  Stupid weddings.

It's a better excuse than a standard errand.

Hey man, errands are pretty fargin important.  And weddings fargin suck.  You got your priorities farged.

Tight end L.J. Smith was active for Sunday's season opener against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers, meanwhile, were without the services of starting wide receiver Greg Jennings.

Smith did not play in the entire preseason because of a groin injury suffered at training camp. He was listed as probable on the injury report on Friday after he practiced all week, but after the team's walk-through on Saturday he was downgraded to questionable. Smith worked out in the pre-game warm-ups and believed that he was ready to go.

Jennings suffered a hamstring injury during the week and was limited in practice. Rookie Greg Jones started in Jennings' spot.

Also inactive
for the Eagles were quarterback A.J. Feeley (third quarterback), cornerback Nick Graham, linebacker Pago Togafau, guard Max Jean-Gilles, tackle Pat McCoy, guard Scott Young, defensive tackle LaJuan Ramsey and defensive end Victor Abiamiri.

I guess Cole won the backup OG audition. Sort of a surprise since I didn't think he played all that well - guess they took into consideration the fact that he can play C too.

SunMo

so Nick Cole is the backup guard?

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

you'd think they'd shy away from a steroid guy, at least for a little while...
