swell, we get that fat ass siragusa.  he'll have his head so far up Favre's ass.

Actually, I was thinking he'll probably find a way to suckle on the teets of the Saints again.

We get the game on delay over here (on monday 19:00 local time (as live) and tuesday 16:30 local (commercials cut out)). Sunday is AFC day, apparently.
You have New York, we have Amsterdam
Just 15,000 Dutch beat out 90,000 Americans

With Timmy, one of three things is going to happen. Somebody is going to get hurt - it's either going to be him, an opponent, or one of our players.

farg, I'm right on the border in Western NY. Guess I'll have to wait until Saturday or so to find out.

Am I the only person who isn't at all confident going into play the normally easy to push over Packers? They may have a running game again, their defense looks to be the real deal. The Eagles on the other hand appear as pass happy as ever, and the defense looks like it could be total shtein all season.

I'm not confident in this game at all. My biggest concern is that the Green Bay defense should be very good this year. Right behind that is the fact that the Eagles' defense has looked like open, gaping ass thus far. I'm not counting this as an assumed win by any stretch.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

i'm the same way, but for the exact reason, i'm not worried about the Eagles scoring, but i am worried about the Packers running the ball, keeping the ball away from the Eagles and keeping the game close.

i don't see a a blowout and i wouldn't be shocked if they lose.  that being said, i think they win.

Not worried at all.  Andy always gets his teams motivated for week 1  :paranoid

We have to hope for these events--

1. It's NOT a repeat of the 2000 game--where the Birds lost in sloppy conditions 6-3

2. It's NOT a repeat of the last Eagles-Packers opener--the one where Randall was lost for the season some 16 years ago

3. It IS a repeat of the previous five Packers-Eagles games--where the Pack has averaged 14 points a game
