The Eagles did just about everything conceivable to lose that game yesterday and they still had a decent chance to win despite themselves.

Suggesting the season is over and that the playoffs are an unreachable goal after one three point loss is silly.

I'm just as disgusted as anyone over yesterday's game, but Jesus Christ, a little perspective please?

This games outcome was written all over the wall. When 1/2 of your family is in jail, whats the percentage of having your head ready to coach a football team? The answer is easy, and his coaching showed it yesterday on a ton of plays

I dont blame this loss on McNabb what-so-ever

Yeah!  That would be comforting if the Pack wasn't one of the worst teams on our schedule.  We'd sure be close in the end against the Patriots if we played like that.  No reason to panic.  ALL IS WELL!
Anyone but Reid.

i really wouldnt use that as justification for doom and gloom. seen enough football to know that teams lose to inferior teams now and then. pats lost to the bills badly a couple of yrs ago and won the superbowl.

not saying thats us but losing to a bad team week 1 does not mean the season is over.

not addressing need positions, being stubborn and not running, and not adjusting within games is what will eventually cost us the season....maybe in the playoffs. not losing to GB.

lemme get this straight...you can predict 10-6 or 11-5 after zero games but other people after having seen the team actually play a game cant predict 8-8

i thought the oline played well after a rough start...mcnabb had crazy amounts of time on numerous pass plays in the second half...without seeing the actual film i cant tell if the wr's couldnt get open or if mcnabb wouldnt pull the trigger but damn he held the ball way to long on so many plays

i agree with the kotite looks...i dont know if reids home life is affecting him or not because hes always benn a disgraceful game day coach but damn he looked absolutely lost today

the inside the 5 series where he threw two passes that didnt cross the goalline

having buck run the ball on 1st and ten with 4 minutes left...westbrook the teams best player by far wasnt even in the game

Agree across the board.  I can't count the number of times when I shouted "throw the farging ball" yesterday.  I think McNabb had his eyes on the rush yesterday, rather than down the field.

What the hell are you talking about? His injury had nothing to do with it. He was running around all over out there breaking tackles.

He was running around because he was taking too long to get rid of the ball.  Like IGY said, we can't tell if the WRs were open, but it looked to me like he was skittish about the rush.

As for special teams, how the farg can they be so quick on the trigger with Bloom when they put up with Mahe for so long.  I think Reed will be fine with kick returns, but that was just a bad decision back at PR - he was trying to be a hero because it looked like that punt was going to roll deep.

Frankly, I think letting Harbaugh change jobs was the mistake of the year.  Correction on the previous comment - they aren't grooming him to replace JJ, they are putting him on track to get a HC job somewhere else.  Special Teams coaches don't get HC jobs.  It is OK to help out your staffers when you can, but if you think you have a serious shot at the Super Bowl, you don't seriously farg with your team to do a guy a favor.  Harbaugh could have waited a year or two until Kolb's first season (rebuilding year) when the impact of zesty special teams would be a lot less of a big deal.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

i dont understand how you invest two years in a guy (a project nonetheless) and then never actually let him play a down...the only reason i can think of is that his toe is hurt worse than we know and he wasnt physically able to play this week and reid didnt wanna take up a roster spot with a injured PR
