My first FF Draft of the year is tomorrow, and I have the third pick.

I know that Tomlinson is going first. No doubt about that. The guy with the second pick is a total wildcard, so I'm not sure how he's going to go.

If available, I plan to take Steven Jackson with the third pick. But if Jackson goes with the second pick, who would you take at 3? I think 3 is a tough, tough spot this year.

normally, i would say pick whoever is left between Jackson or Larry Johnson. but LJs holdout makes his regular season somewhat of a question mark. i'm sure he'll play eventually, but there is a chance he misses or is ineffective for the first few games of the regular season

Right. I'm leaning against LJ. On top of the holdout, the o-line sucks and their QB isn't a threat. He might be good, but he's too much of a risk at 3, I think. That said, is LJ who you'd take?

RJS will be along shortly i'm sure, his nerd antenna has surely picked this up by now. your best bet is to hope that #2 is a dope and doesn't pick Jackson so you can. if he doesn, you may be forced to take LJ unless you can convince someone to trade up into your spot.

Frank Gore or Shaun Alexander

It all about touching the football. If your league is points per reception, its a no-brainer to get Gore.

I also think Alexander puts up big touchdowns totals this year. If he runs the way he did the last 6 games of the year last year, he should have a big year.

My pick: Alexander

he's going to be a 2nd thought for a lot of people this year because they are going to remember how bad he was for most of last year, so that's not a bad thought

In this league, it's a point per 10 yards rushing, and a point for 10 yards receiving. It's also .5 points for each reception. And 6 for a TD, rushing or receiving.
