Yeah...I see it now, and I heard about it from last night's attendees. Apparently they lot cops were also very restrictive on how many spaces tailgaters can use. This could be an interesting season in the parking lots...

Price was $20 to park at the Wac Friday night and they did have Cops (real ones not the rent-a-type) patroling and telling people they couldn't take up 10 spots with lawn chairs. I got there around 6 and there was plenty of parking. We'll see how it is come the first home game, I get out of class at 3 then we're heading down.

i agree with the lawn chair thing...that is ridiculous where we park...this one group brings yellow DOT cones and literally saves upwards of 25 spots

We got into a fight a hour before kick off with some icehole a few years back who was saving 5 spaces with orange cones and lawn chairs. I eventually ran over his cone then told him to call security if he thought I was being unreasonable. Only drawback to that was I had to worry about him farging with my truck.

Frankly, I think it should be simple:  You pay per spot.

Of course, if they were charging everyone for the number of spots they took up already, they wouldn't have to jew up the price.

I remember a bunch of parking nazis coming around during the playoffs a few years back. They were threatening us with having to pay for the extra spaces we used. We decided it was worth the money (via a group collection) should they decide to enforce it.

If they get pissy this year, maybe I'll ask the entrance attendant if I can buy an extra space (at $20...choke, cough)...and get an extra receipt.
