for those planning to see the Eagles at the Meadowlands (twice), be prepared for the new parking issues/restrictions:
QuoteWith the ongoing construction of Xanadu and a new railway system tying up space at the Meadowlands, the Giants and Jets have unveiled new game-day parking policies to compensate for the estimated 5,000 spots lost.
In letters sent to season-ticket holders late last week, the team announced that all on-site parking next season will be limited to those with pre-paid permits, which will cost $150 for the 2007 season ($15 per game for 10 games, eight regular-season and two preseason). All others will have to park in off-site lots and ride shuttle buses from there to the stadium. Season-ticket holders are eligible to purchase one parking permit for every five tickets on their account with a maximum of six permits for those accounts with 26 or more tickets. Team spokesmen said no single-game permits will be sold.

I will still be there, even if I have to drag the grill into the lot and airdrop in the beer.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

that stadium is no-character dump

It's looking like it will be the Jets game as my other road trip.  My cousin-in-law sports agent guy will be there, so I'm currently working on field passes or something else very cool.

Got my tickets to Eagles-Jets, including a parking pass.

Never been there, or near there, so looking for some assistance:
- bars/restaurants near the stadium, or is it like Dallas where it all sucks ass?
- if no eats/drinks nearby, where is the best place to go for that, before and after the game?
- hotel info?  Anything nearby that isn't a dump, and also isn't stupid expensive?

theres rest stops there, thats about it. its smack in the middle of the nj turnpike, pretty much the shteintiest place on earth. but youre close to nyc and 90 minutes from philly. so if you find a place to crash in philly, its an easy drive up.

im probably gonna go to one of those games at the swamps, the jets game will be cheaper so maybe that.

That's why I chose it.  Tickets seemed about $75 cheaper on average.
