Antonio Pierce out indefinitely

The New York Giants are on a four-game losing streak, and now they've been dealt another blow.

Giants middle linebacker Antonio Pierce was diagnosed with a bulging disc in his neck this afternoon and is out indefinitely, the team announced today.

"I'm shocked with what I heard from the doctors this afternoon," Pierce said in a statement, via Pat Hanlon on Twitter. " had no idea what happened a few weeks ago could keep me off the field."

Pierce has started all nine games for the Giants this year

Ten days after the Giants surprisingly announced Pierce was out indefinitely with a bulging disk in his neck, the team placed him on injured reserve Monday.

As Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger points out, this could potentially spell the end of Pierce's time with the Giants.  Chase Blackburn will start in his place the rest of the year.

Yeah, things changed a lot. I'm living in Houston now (it sucks) because of a job (its good) and there's not much to bitch about other than I hit 30 last year and the Eagles still suck. The only thing I'm looking forward to is Spring Training and going to Vegas in 2-weeks.
