i never heard about him until they signed him.

i never want to hear about him again.

you do have to give them props for at least recognizing he's not a starter.

what is that, 4-6? next up the rockies. those series are always crazy. better bring the bats. and not let franklin throw one of his hanging curves, or pitch for that matter.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I have to admit... I actually watched them not choke this game away (but come damn close), and it was inspiring that they ended up actually hanging on to the win.

And Sal Fasano looks like "The Duke" from Major League.  Too bad he doesn't hit like him.

BigEd76

Minor league note:  Clearwater just took the lead 4-3 in the 20th inning.  Costanzo is 1-for-9 with 4 Ks

For those that haven't followed the minor teams yet, Hamels and Gonzalez are dominating so far....

LBIggle

cole hamels, world series mvp.

Lakewood is 0-8 and already talking about coaching changes...

For those that care:

Field Staff

Manager: P.J. Forbes
Hitting Coach: J.P. Roberge
Pitching Coach: Steve Schrenk

BigEd76

If this was 2005, yeah....  :P

Manager = Dave Huppert (basically kicked off the Washington Nationals at the end of last year)
Hitting Coach = Kenny Dominguez  (was a coach in Clearwater last year...one of the worst minor league teams in history)
Pitching Coach = Schrenk

One of the main problems is that their best player Greg Golson, who isn't hitting at all, won't listen to anyone criticizing his batting stance....

That's a sign of future greatness when a kid in low-A is uncoachable.

By the way, in looking at the Threshers site (since they beat my Ft. Myers Miracle in 20 innings last night), I see that old Greg Gross is the hitting coach there.
