i hate it when a pitcher comes in to face one batter, does great, and then they bring in someone else because they throw with the opposite arm.    Rheal blows away HELTON, he is removed from the game, Geary comes in and screws everything up.

Although I would take Franklin out of the sucks category and put him in the "wait and see" category.

i think Charlie left Lieber in for 2 too many hitters last night.  IMO, you don't let the starter wreck his win like that, when you see he's struggling, like Lieber was that inning, you come get him while he still has a chance to win the game.

Lieber had back to back 1-2-3 innings before the 7th inning blow up. He was at under 80 pitches. He never should have come out. He was pitching fine, then after 1 out in the 7th, blew up. By the time Charlie got people up (no reason to given the way Lieber was pitching) and ready to come in, a run was on the board. The focus of the blame should be on Geary and Manuel's decision to use Geary.

Franklin has only had the one blow up, but given his track record and the fact that 90% of his outs are deep fly balls that are probably homers in warm weather, I'd say he sucks.

I assume Nunez will get a start today, or at least he should. Myers has been unimpressive in his first two starts. Time to pick it up, you little bitch.

myers throws 7 2/3 scoreless, howard hits a homer for the only run of the game.  phils 5-7 and take 2 out of 3 from the rockies.

That was the first time in Rockies history a visiting team won at Coors field 1-0. Myers is now 5-0 vs. the Rockies.
